A Visit to Craigdarroch Castle®
Barb wrote this about this painting:
A friend of mine came from the mainland with her daughter to visit Victoria. She loves castles and has pictures and statues of them in her home but had never been to one before.
It was such fun to see her face as she walked through the castle and to see the dance in her step.
Seeing her getting into her car afterwards, she radiated joy. I wanted to give her that moment to keep; so I painted this…

The gift shop manager at Craigdarroch Castle fell in love with this painting as soon as she saw it. She has put cards, colour laser prints, post cards and even a giclée in the gift shop for the guests of the Castle. It is so much fun to go there and see copies of the painting all around.
Many of the staff of the gift shop are volunteers. They are always interested to meet the lady who painted the painting.
Barb really likes the castle and always keeps the idea of going back to paint more of it somewhere in the back of her mind.
